26.0SIGNIFICANT OVERBANK FLOODING IS OCCURRING AS THIS IS THE MOST WATER THIS STRETCH OF THE RIO GRANDE HAS SEEN SINCE THE GREAT FLOOD OF 1904. THE RAILROAD BRIDGE ABOUT 1 MILE SOUTH OF SAN MARCIAL IS LIKELY UNDER WATER AND SHOULD BE CONSIDERED IMPASSABLE.
24.5INITIAL FLOOD STAGE WITH THE FLOW APPROACHING 6000 CUBIC FEET PER SECOND AND SOME OVERBANK FLOODING IN PROGRESS. THE RAILROAD BRIDGE ABOUT 1 MILE SOUTH OF SAN MARCIAL MAY BECOME IMPASSABLE IF FURTHER RIVER RISES OCCUR.
