Complete evacuation of all people downstream of Oakdale Dam in flood prone areas is necessary. Flooding closes all county roads near the river and possibly SR 18. Extensive property damage and possible overtopping of Oakdale Dam. Extensively flooded areas include Horseshoe Bend and Camp Tecumseh downstream of Oakdale Dam.
32500.0Estimated 100-year recurrence interval flood. A record flood with devastating impacts. Evacuation of many people downstream of Oakdale Dam with flows approaching 32,000 cubic feet per second. Possibly more than 500 residences flooded. Flooding closes many local roads. Extensive property damage. Flooded areas include Horseshoe Bend and Camp Tecumseh downstream of Oakdale Dam.
22000.0Major to near record flooding along the Tippecanoe River with flows from Oakdale Dam in excess of 22,000 cubic feet per second. 13000.0Extensive lowland flooding with flows between 13,000 to 18,000 cubic feet per second. Water at dangerous levels with a few evacuations and minimal property damage. Some local river roads begin to flood.
9000.0Lowland flooding with flows from Oakdale Dam between 9,000 to 13,000 cubic feet per second. Low agricultural lands...river parks and possibly a few local roads flood along portions of the Tippecanoe River.
6000.0Tippecanoe River at bankfull level downstream of Oakdale Dam in Carroll County. Most of the solidly mounted piers are underwater. A few local roads may begin to flood. During warm season items such as lawn chairs...boats and building supplies can be swept away. Handicapped area of Oakdale Public access site begins to flood. At noon on May 22 2010...Carroll County EMA Director lost stacked lumber from his pier at this flow.
