28.0DISASTEROUS FLOODING OF ALL AREAS ALONG CONTENTNEA CREEK. NUMEROUS RESIDENCES COMPLETELY UNDERWATER. MOST OF THE TOWN OF GRIFTON FLOODED ALONG WITH RESIDENTS OF TICK BITE. THE GREEN STREET BRIDGE IN SNOW HILL WILL GO UNDERWATER AND SOME BUSINESSES WILL FLOOD. ALL ROADS IN AND AROUND THE CREEK WILL BE IMPASSABLE.
26.0DISASTEROUS FLOODING IN ALL AREAS FROM GRIFTON TO TICK BITE. FLOOD WATERS WILL THREATEN QUEEN STREET IN DOWNTON GRIFTON. NEARLY ALL HOMES BETWEEN QUEEN STREET AND THE CREEK WILL FLOOD. FLOODING ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE CREEK IN LENOIR COUNTY IS DISASTEROUS. MANY RESIDENCES ENTIRELY UNDERWATER. HIGHWAY 123 IN HOOKERTON WILL FLOOD ALONG WITH LOW AREAS OF THE NORTHEAST SIDE OF SNOW HILL. THIS IS COMPARABLE TO THE FLOOD AFTER HURRICANE FLOYD.
24.0NUMEROUS HOMES ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE CREEK BETWEEN SNOW HILL AND HOOKERTON WILL FLOOD. WATER WILL FLOOD UP TO WALSTON AND CREEK ROADS AND BEGIN TO THREATEN BUSINESSES IN HOOKERTON. WATER WILL FLOOD LOW AREAS ON THE NORTHEAST SIDE OF SNOW HILL. WIDESPREAD FLOODING WILL CAUSE NUMEROUS HOMES AND BUSINESSES IN GRFTON AND TICK BITE TO FLOOD.
20.0LOW AREAS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SNOW HILL START TO FLOOD. SEVERAL HOMES ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE CREEK FROM SNOW HILL TO HOOKERTON WILL START TO FLOOD. WATER UP TO THE HWY 188 (HIGHLAND BLVD) BRIDGE IN GRIFTON. WIDESPREAD FLOODING IN GRIFTON AND TICK BITE.
18.0SOME HOMES WILL FLOOD ON BOTH SIDES OF THE CREEK IN GRIFTON AND TICK BITE. BUSINESSES ALONG HWY 118 (HIGHLAND BLVD) SOUTH OF QUEEN STREET WILL BE THREATENED. HIGHWAY 123 JUST NORTH OF HOOKERTON WILL FLOOD. WATER WILL THREATEN HOMES ON LOOP ROAD BETWEEN SNOW HILL AND HOOKERTON.
17.0WATER WILL START TO FLOOD HWY 123 JUST NORTH OF HOOKERTON AND THREATEN RESIDENTS ON LOOP ROAD BETWEEN SNOW HILL AND HOOKERTON. SOME HOMES DOWNSTREAM IN GRIFTON AND TICK BITE WILL START TO FLOOD.
16.0WATER WILL FLOOD SEVERAL HOMES DOWNSTREAM ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE RIVER IN LENOIR COUNTY NEAR TICK BITE. MINOR FLOODING WILL OCCUR IN GRIFTON. WATER WILL START TO THREATEN CONTENTNEA CREEK DRIVE IN GRIFTON. WATER MAY ALSO BEGIN TO THREATEN RESIDENTS ON LOOP ROAD BETWEEN SNOW HILL AND HOOKERTON.
15.0WATER WILL BEGIN TO THREATEN HOMES DOWNSTREAM IN GRIFTON AND TICK BITE. SOME SECONDARY ROADS MAINLY ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE CREEK IN LENOIR COUNTY WILL FLOOD.
14.0Low land flooding adjacent to the creek can be expected. Water may begin to reach some secondary roads in Lenoir county.
13.0FLOOD STAGE. MINOR FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS ADJACENT TO CREEK CAN BE EXPECTED.
